Memorial Day weekend
We have been so busy lateley, I had to be reminded to update Hayden’s blog… sorry!
Friday night we packed up the whole family (dogs too) and headed up to Kaukauna for Rob’s wedding, Rick’s middle brother. Since Abby was asked to be a flower girl, we had to attend the rehearsal at church, which was almost 2 hours away. We skipped the dinner cause we had Hayden and the dogs with us. We get very nervous having people breath and touch him plus the restaurant high chairs are very dirty! It is amazing how your mindset changes in common public places.
We headed up to Green Bay after the church rehearsal to stay at my parents house instead of a hotel. Another germ infested place for Hayden. The wedding was at 2pm the next day so we had alot of down time to hang out.
Hayden stayed with my parents while we went to the wedding. Abby and her cousin Corinna walked down the isle with no reservations! They even stood in front of the alter blocking the way of the bride and groom, the pastor had to move them into the pew. They really enjoyed dressing like princesses and dancing.
Their was a horse and carriage that brought the bride and groom to the reception hall which the kids got a kick out of. The horse and carriage belongs to Rick’s cousin Joe and Kristi, they actually have a small business that they will bring “Sky” and the carriage to an event for a fee. It is called “The Sky’s the limit”. Pretty cool! They live in Markisan, WI.
So after hours of fancing Abby was pooped at 10ish and didn’t get up until about 8:30 Sunday. We had to go back home Sunday since I was to work Bratfest in Madison for work that day.
Monday, Hadyen and Abby went to the zoo with uncle Kyle and Aunt Katie. I tagged along too since Rick was installing a new garage door on the garage. This was Hayden’s first zoo experience, and I think he watched the people more than he watched the animals. His expression was “I have two big dogs at home, these animals all look alike….” If he could talk, he would tell you his favorite part of the zoo was eating ice cream!

Too much to do, not enough time in a long weekend!
