Abby is not a match
We have found out that Abby is not a match for Hayden as a donor so we have to decide on which hosp. is best for Hayden to be at for his tranplant. Then we can start the search for a donor…
A lot of family and friends have asked about being tested to see if they would be a match. Right now we are being told by drs that the best plan for Hayden is to search the National Bone Marrow Bank and Blood Cord Banks. If your name and HLA typing is already in that National Bank, and you would be a match, they will notify you.

We have hit a road block with getting an IV in him for his monthly treatments. A butterfly needle no longer will thread into his vein. After 6 attempts a week ago, we are now giving his treatment “SubQ” which is smaller needles that stick into his “fatty” thighs. But now we have to do this weekly instead of monthly or as needed basis. It takes 3-4 hours for treatment. He is pretty tolerant of this, but getting more and more restless about laying there for that long of a period.
For next weeks treatment, the nurses said they will give him longer tubing so he can move around a bit to play on the bed. Between Dr. Delgado and the nurses, Hayden is in good hands and loves the people who help him.
